Character’s Walk is an annual fundraising event created by Rutgers Undergraduate Women In Business (RUWIB) in collaboration with the Newark Public Library. This event has the sole purpose of raising money to donate for the library’s Children’s Literacy Program. Prior to Character’s Walk, RUWIB has spent the past weeks achieving our fundraising goals through exciting activities for the student body such as Bake Sales, Halloween Movie Night, and Paint & Sip. 

On October 26, 2024, RUWIB and the Newark Public Library hosted Character’s Walk for the local families in Newark. This in-person event is meant to be a fun Halloween experience with the chance to win prizes, immerse in good food, and engage in exciting games for its attendees— especially the children! These activities included face painting, tattoo stickers, toilet paper mummy wrap, ring toss, sticky ball darts, and coloring.

The event was concluded through distributing goodie bags with exciting items inside and some closing remarks. Overall, RUWIB’s Fall 2024 Character’s Walk was a success and we can’t wait to share this meaningful experience again with everyone next Fall 2025!
