October 2024 Recap!

Industry Insights
To start off October with career tips, speakers from EY and CDW joined us to share insights about their companies, talk about opportunities, and trends within the industry. This was a great opportunity to network and learn more about the trends within each of these industries. Thank you to ……. for giving us the opportunity to learn more!
Personal Branding & Networking
Learning about effective branding and networking can be tricky. However, Jennifer from Enterprise & Arevik from KPMG had us covered! They taught us how to effectively build our network and network with others to help our career. The event ended with a networking session for us to follow up on some of the tips we learnt. A huge thank you to Jennifer, Arevik, Enterprise, and KPMG for teaching us the valuable skill of Personal Branding!
Halloween Movie Night Fundraiser
In the midst of midterm season, RUWIB came to the rescue with an escape to a cozy and spooky movie night! We watched Coraline, enjoyed snacks, and relaxed with our friends! It was a nice cozy ambiance to remove the stress away from midterm season. All proceeds of this event went to Character’s Walk Charity Event- Thank you to everyone who supported!
Paint & Sip Fundraiser
RUWIB let out our creativity at our Paint & Sip Event! We painted on mini canvases and sipped on delicious beverages. This was a great destresser from exams and allowed us to socialize with members of RUWIB. Thank you to everyone who supported!

Character’s Walk
Our Annual Character’s Walk Charity Event occurred on October 26th. RUWIB and the Newark Community gathered to enjoy halloween spirit all while supporting the Newark Public Library’s Children’s Literacy Program. We played games, did activities such as temporary tattoos and face painting, enjoyed pizza and snacks, and so much more! Food Drive
This month, we also collected cans and other food items for our Food Drive! This was in partnership with RU-N Pantry+ right here on Rutgers Campus! We were so glad to be able to help our local pantry— collecting a total of 70+ items. Thank you to everyone who graciously donated!
GBM 2 Family Feud
To end October on a fun note, RUWIB engaged in some friendly competition: Family Feud style! We played and competed against our friends all while socializing! This was so fun and the winners got to take home prizes!
