Committees Make It Happen

Treasury:

The Treasury committee is responsible for keeping records of all the club's financial transactions. This includes service contracts, purchase request invoices, and reaching out to restaurants for events and reimbursements.

Member Relations:

The Member Relations Committee assists with coordination and execution of all General Body Meetings. Responsibilities include creating Powerpoint presentations for meetings, brainstorming fun ideas for upcoming GBM's, networking with organization members, as well as organizing materials and food that is necessary for meetings. 

Community Outreach:

The Community Outreach Committee is all about giving back to the community. As a member, you will be expected to attend club meetings, help with setting up/ cleaning up events, reaching out to community partners, planning community service events, and emphasizing the importance of volunteer work to others within RUWIB. 

Corporate Relations: 

The Corporate Relations Committee is responsible for coordinating logistics and networking with visiting corporate partners to support the organization's events. This committee should develop good business etiquette and be ready to take initiative when contacting professionals. As a Corporate Relations Committee member, it is crucial to be creative and find meaningful ways to maintain relations with RUWIB members and professionals everywhere! 

Marketing:

The Marketing Committee is responsible for developing and implementing ideas to promote RUWIB's events and reach a larger audience, maintaining social media platforms by creating engaging reels and stories and staying connected with members through email marketing. Our committee will also be closely collaborating with Graphics & IT for social media posts, flyers, and more. These committees go hand in hand to maintain a professional image, and make our club known on campus. 

Graphics & IT: 

The Graphics & IT Committee is responsible for creating the visuals that represent our organization online and in print. We create graphics for social media, maintain the RUWIB website, create flyers/ posters/ other media, and create slideshows for club meetings. We work with the Marketing Committee to set and maintain a professional and welcoming image online and on social media. We must achieve these goals while adhering to appropriate themes and post templates to keep the RUWIB brand uniform. 

RUWIB Committees are a crucial part of the organization. Without them, there would be no club! Committee members assist the executive board in carrying out duties that keep the club running efficiently and best serving the community and university.

Joining a committee gives students valuable opportunities in professional development and networking. It also builds experience in leadership and community involvement. RUWIB represents a very large population of Rutgers Newark; being in a leadership position of our club allows your student voice to be amplified and contribute to how our club can best serve the students.

Who can join a committee? Anyone!

RUWIB is not just for business students! Anybody who is interested is encouraged to apply, regardless of class year or major. All majors, minors, and concentrations are welcome! Experience or previous knowledge is always helpful, though not required.
