HerStory 2025: Creating Space at the Table
HerStory is one of RUWIB’s most meaningful traditions—a space where we come together to celebrate resilience, ambition, and the incredible women who have paved the way for us. It’s a reminder that success isn’t just about personal achievement; it’s about lifting others along the way and ensuring that the doors we walk through stay open for the women who come after us.
This event isn’t just another discussion. It’s a platform for real, honest conversations about what it takes to succeed, the challenges that come with breaking barriers, and the importance of advocating for ourselves and others.
Every year, HerStory reminds us why representation matters. Because when we see women at the head of the table—whether it’s in finance, entrepreneurship, technology, or any other field—we’re reminded that success isn’t limited to a select few. It’s possible for all of us.

This year’s theme—Creating Space at the Table: Advocating for Diversity and Inclusion—couldn’t be more relevant. Too often, women—especially women of color, first-generation professionals, and those from underrepresented backgrounds—are told that success is about fighting for a limited number of seats at the table. That we have to compete against each other for opportunities. But we reject that idea. We believe in expanding the table. We believe in pulling up extra chairs. We believe in breaking down barriers so that those who come after us don’t have to fight the same battles. Because when one woman rises, she lifts countless others with her.
The event was nothing short of inspiring. Last March 7th, we had the privilege of hearing from a group of phenomenal women who have not only shaped their own careers but have also paved the way for others to follow. These leaders have broken barriers, challenged norms, and redefined what it means to create space and advocate for change.

From overcoming obstacles to building inclusive environments, their insights were both eye-opening and empowering. Each speaker left us with invaluable lessons on mentorship, advocacy, and the power of community in driving meaningful change. As we reflect on this incredible conversation, one thing is clear: the work of these women doesn’t just inspire—it ignites action.
